SwadStyle is the culmination of many ideas; borne from a thirst for knowledge, the desire to support local businesses, a love for community and a concept that is well respected up and down the country.

Travelling back and forth between Swadlincote and London every other weekend for the last three years I was acutely aware that there was more to Swadlincote than I was seeing, hearing or reading about. While there are plenty of resources that you can tap into, the one resource that I have had more than 20 years experience with, in one way or another, is the community lifestyle magazine that comes through your door. The magazine that is full of local information, places to go, things to do, the resource to find local suppliers for the important things to do with your health, your home, your happiness and more.   

Since moving to the area permanently in 2018, the desire to create a local lifestyle magazine for Swadlincote became stronger. It would be the perfect way to meet new people, to find out what’s going on locally, to explore new places, to share the wonderful things that are on our doorstep and combine all the things I am passionate about.

I am not disappointed. Swadlincote is full of friendly people. It has some of the most beautiful outdoor spaces, an abundance of places to explore, a wonderful range of old family businesses through to new start ups offering a fantastic range of products and services for a town of its size. The more I look the more I find.

Each month I look forward to sharing the stories, the events, useful and relevant information - all for the single purpose of supporting the local community.
